📊 SSC Selection Post Vacancies — 2022 to 2026
| Year | Vacancies | Vs Previous Year | Notification |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 3,003 | ▲ 300200% (+3,002) | 2026 notice |
| 2024 | 1 | ▼ 94% (-15) | 2024 notice |
| 2022 | 16 | — | 2022 notice |
At a glance: across 3 years of data, the highest number of vacancies came in 2026 (3,003) and the lowest in 2024 (1). Vacancies went up in 2026.
What this means: when vacancies go up the cutoff usually comes down, and when they go down it climbs — because the merit list is drawn against the number of seats. This is not a fixed rule though: how many forms were submitted and how hard the paper was both matter too.
These numbers come from our own older posts — open the link next to any year to check the official notification yourself.
